“ Such a cute cafe vibe this has . Tried their coconut bundt cake 5/5. Mac and cheese salad 5/5. Had ice tea it was so great without any sweeteners in it 5/5. Must visit ”
“ Their espresso tastes way better than the other cafes I've been to. I just had to make the trip! The baristas that work here have exceptional customer service. ”
“ (Multiple visits) Ordered: americano, various flavours of cruffin, peach tart, lemon coffee cake, chocolate strawberry cheesecake, pumpkin pie, lemon bar The coffee was balanced well on mild flavour, not too sour nor too bitter, which I loved. Pastries taste good as well. Nothing is overly sweet or bland. Personally I'd recommend cruffins. ”
“ Despite living in London for the past few years, I only recently tried out this place! This beautiful cafe is very conveniently located and is always busy. During peak times, it may be difficult to find a seat but they do open up fairly quickly. The service here is amazing, they’re super attentive and nice which is a big plus. In terms of their food, their cruffins are TO DIE FOR - I absolutely love them to death. They rotate their flavours and every single one I’ve had has been phenomenal. Admittedly, difficult to eat which the sugar coating on the croissant mixed with the custard inside but still so so good that it’s worth the mess. I do wish it was served warmed which would take it to the next level! The sandwiches are surprisingly good as well. My favourite is the ham and Swiss. It is very filling and I love how much they pack into the sandwich (especially how much Dijon they put in it hehe). In terms of the coffee, it was decent. I was expecting more bold flavours to come out and taste the richness but unfortunately I could not. Maybe I had too high of expectations for the coffee after tasting the pastries and food but regardless, it was still decent coffee. Overall though, this place is an amazing place to sit down, eat, read, study, and catch up with friends! I definitely will be coming back and trying more of their items :) ”
“ I had a great time, it was lovely, everything was delicious. Friendly staff ”
“ When I visited Black Walnut Cafe in London, I was immediately struck by the cozy yet modern vibe. The aroma of freshly brewed coffee hit me as soon as I walked in, and the staff greeted me with genuine warmth. I opted for one of their brunch options—a perfect balance of fresh, locally sourced ingredients. Every bite felt thoughtful and satisfying, and the coffee was smooth and rich, just as you'd hope. The service really stood out. It wasn’t just about speed, but the attentiveness. The staff made sure I felt comfortable, checking in just the right amount without being intrusive. I loved the cafe's minimalist design, which somehow felt both open and intimate. It’s the kind of place where you could easily lose track of time, either chatting with friends or just relaxing with a book. The overall atmosphere is so inviting, making it a place I'd happily return to whenever I’m in town. ”
“ My mother and I decided to try Black Walnut for lunch on a whim, and we loved it! The atmosphere is fun and lively, the food and drink was delicious, and the service was friendly, fast and very thoughtful! We are looking forward to going for lunch again next time I'm in town! ”
“ The woman taking care of my order was so kind and friendly, I also really liked the patio and overall atmosphere! Their sandwiches are a very generous size as well and very yummy! The perfect spot for a quick lunch ”
